Chris Jericho joins the show. Chris takes exception to the introduction as a "former WWE Champion". We jump right into a description of what his new show Redemption Song is about.
We ask what Chris's part is on the show beyond just the host. He had a limited time on set and he really didn't know the contestants until he watched the finished product.
We ask Chris if the 'reality genre' was something he always wanted to do. He talks about the hosting part which he loved. He thought it was easy due to his comfort on camera.
We asked how he got hooked up with the show and when did he find the time to do it. Chris said they knew of his VH1 work as well as his WWE work. He was given 'permission' by the WWE but got no time off his WWE schedule to do it.
We ask him what the WWE is doing to promote it. Chris talks about the exposure that Fuse TV will get and he hopes it will come to the attention of people who didn't know about it.
Chris talks about his evolution to heel recently. He compares it to Javier Bardem's character from "No Country for Old Men." He thinks his time away training as an actor helped his "become the character". He thinks the angle with Shawn Michaels was the perfect foil for his transformation.
Chris talks about his title run recently and did he expect it to happen so soon after returning. He did but he wanted to eliminate the Y2J character first and it worked out pretty good.
We ask Chris about being a comedic wrestler and ask him about Santino Marella compared to a young Chris Jericho. Chris talks about the rationale behind working that way.
We ask Chris about his time in Germany like what was described in his book "A Lion's Tale" and if it is still possible to work your way up through these groups. He thinks that path is no longer available for young wrestlers.
Chris talks about his sequel to "A Lion's Tale" which he has been working on. Chris talks about his injury in the ladder match with Shawn Michaels. We let him go soon after!
